My name is Oliver James Richards. I am a British fiction author and screenwriter based in New York City.
I began my career in film production, working as a producer and editor on award-winning documentary films Silhouette Secrets (2016) and Endgame (2018). Working in film introduced me to screenwriting. In 2017, I wrote a short screenplay called The Grey, which I rewrote it in 2023 as a novel. The manuscript of The Grey is completed and is going through its editing process, and upon completion I will be pursuing traditional publication.
My debut novella is a trilogy of three short stories called A Tree-mendous Scandal in Central Park & Other Stories, released in the fall of 2024.

My favourite novels are Homer's The Odyssey, Tolkien's The Hobbit and Hemingway's The Old Man And The Sea, and my favourite non-fiction book is Wilfred Thesiger's Arabian Sands. My favourite film is Martin Scorcese's Casino and my favourite documentary film is Heavy Metal in Baghdad (2007).
